Tricia Gates Brown has published four books of nonfiction, and is currently at work on a book of memoir as well as a young adult novel. Frederick and the Flute Maker is her first children's book. She moved to Cannon Beach in 2005 with her teenaged daughter Madison. Tricia enjoys walking on the beach at evening, tracking the cycle of the moon, cooking up a great pasta dish, and following her muse wherever it leads. Tricia now resides in Nehalem, Oregon, but works part-time as Program Director of the Cannon Beach History Center.
Sally Lackaff's family has deep connections to Cannon Beach, connections that span generations. She recalls spending time as a girl at her grandparents' beach house overlooking Haystack Rock. Sally's artwork enjoys a wide audience along the North Coast of Oregon, and include illustrations, drawings, murals, and paintings. Sally currently resides in Astoria, Oregon.
Gary Stroutsos is a composer, educator, and performing artist of world flute music inspired by the natural world. He is one of today's most innovative sound travelers. Gary's love for the northwest Oregon Coast has been a means of musical inspiration for him over the past twenty years and his most admired work "Pacific Moon" was born at Falcon Cove Beach, where the music was composed. A father of two children, Mia and Zach, Gary lives in Seattle, Washington.
